Norway’s energy landscape
Hydropower is the backbone of Norway's electricity landscape, and accounts for more than 90% of the country's total electricity production. The history and dependence on hydropower underlines Norway's dedication to renewable energy and our status as a European leader in clean power production.
Installed power in Norway is approx. 34 GW, with an average annual production of 130-140 TWh. Our approach extends beyond energy production, with a strategy dedicated to engagement with landowners and local communities, with the ultimate goal of creating significant local value in a sustainable manner.
